Bhutan’s Sonam Yeshey sets new T20I bowling record against Myanmar

Sonam Yeshey of Bhutan broke every previous record when he became the first bowler to take eight wickets in a Twenty20 International match.

The 22-year-old left-arm spinner returned with figures of eight for seven in his four overs, a first in the game’s shortest format, after slicing through the top order of Myanmar.
Thanks to Yeshey’s heroics, Myanmar was bowled out for 45 while chasing Bhutan’s 127. The 22-year-old took 13 wickets during the T20I series, which Bhutan won 5-0.In Twenty20 International cricket, six bowlers have claimed seven wickets (four in women’s cricket and two in men’s).
